This was the first project in Washington state and the first hospital to use DuraFuse Frames connections. The advantages on this project that contributed to DuraFuse Frames being selected include the low steel tonnage, fully field-bolted erection and resilience. In addition, eliminating the seismic lateral bracing greatly simplified the coordination with the mechanical and electrical systems in the hospital during construction.
